TO THEN BUILD:

·       6 OTHER MID- AND HIGH-RISE BLOCKS (‘affordable’ 51,100+ Laughing Emoji Stock Photos ... and private).

 

THIS WILL INCREASE HOUSING DENSITY TO 6 TIMES THE LONDON AVERAGE

 

ONLY 20% OF ALL NEW BUILD IS FOR SOCIAL RENT – historically housing associations reduce this number with minimal consequences.  

(Hyde has to rehouse all tenants in BGM who wish to return)

1.         FURTHER OVERCROWDING AT CLAPHAM NORTH AND STOCKWELL UNDERGROUND STATIONS, 

2.         A MINIMUM OF 1500 ADDITIONAL RESIDENTS - CREATING ‘SUPERDENSITY’ HOUSING.  (NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ALREADY APPROVED DEVELOPMENTS ON LANDOR ROAD).

3.         HUGE ADDITIONAL PRESSURE ON YOUR PUBLIC SERVICES, CONGESTION ON THE A3 AND INCREASED AIR POLLUTION.

4.          THE OPEN GREEN SPACE ON RHODESIA ROAD (INCLUDING MANY MATURE TREES) AND MULTI USE GAMES AREA (THE BALL COURT) WILL BE GONE LEAVING NOWHERE FOR CHILDREN IN TOWERS AND LOCAL STREETS TO PLAY.

Hyde is looking to build multiple buildings including:

* A tower that is 30 stories high
* A tower that is 16 stories high
* Multiple blocks 6 and 8 storeys high
* Massively reduced green space
* Reduced parkland
* Removal of public road
* Removal of up to 90 parking spaces from the area
